Spain Ban Entry of Two Officials from Zionist Entity

Spain has announced a ban on the entry of two Zionist officials into its territory, following the introduction of new measures aimed at increasing pressure on the Zionist entity to cease its actions in Gaza. Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares made this announcement on Tuesday.
The two officials, Ben Gvir and Smotrich, have been added to an “official list of sanctioned individuals” and “will not be permitted to enter Spanish territory,” according to Albares.
This decision follows Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s recent declaration of a series of measures designed to heighten pressure on Israel, which has been engaging in aggressive military actions against the Gaza Strip since October 2023.
As part of these initiatives, Sanchez stated that individuals “directly involved in acts of genocide, violations of human rights, and war crimes in Gaza” will be prohibited from entering Spain.
He also emphasized that while Spain has effectively enforced a de facto arms export ban to the Zionist entity since 2023, the government will now urgently legislate to establish a “permanent” ban.
Additional measures include prohibiting imports from illegal settlements in Palestinian territories, particularly in the occupied West Bank, as well as increasing Spain’s contribution to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) by €10 million.
