South African Communist Party Reaffirms Support for Just Struggle of Sahrawi People

The South African Communist Party (SACP) reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Sahrawi people’s struggle for independence during a farewell ceremony for former Sahrawi Ambassador Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, who recently concluded his diplomatic mission in South Africa.
During the event, the SACP presented Beissat—who now serves as the Sahrawi Minister of Foreign Affairs—with a certificate of appreciation, commending his steadfast commitment to the Sahrawi cause. The party highlighted his revolutionary discipline and clarity throughout his diplomatic service.
As a member of the historic alliance that ended apartheid in South Africa, the SACP reiterated its principled solidarity with the Sahrawi Republic’s pursuit of liberation, emphasizing that its support remains strong and enduring in the face of continued occupation.
