Sonelgaz Explores New Ventures with South Korean BHI

The Algerian electricity and gas company Sonelgaz Group and the South Korean company BHI have initiated discussions aimed at enhancing and broadening their partnership, according to a statement released by the Group on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Mourad Adjal, CEO of Sonelgaz, welcomed Beejay Duk, the general director of the Algerian-Korean joint venture BHI-Algeria, at the Group’s headquarters. This joint venture specializes in manufacturing recovery boilers, heat exchangers, and accessories for power plants.

The meeting centered on the future of collaboration between the Algerian Group, represented by its subsidiary, the Algerian Company for Electric and Gas Industries (SAIEG), and BHI, represented by BHI Algeria, as stated in the announcement.

In this context, Mr. Adjal emphasized that Sonelgaz is committed to its obligations and remains dedicated to this partnership, which aims to benefit both parties under a win-win principle, particularly through the expansion of collaborative areas.

For his part, Mr. Duk expressed confidence in Sonelgaz’s support to reinforce cooperative efforts between the two parties and promote the joint venture, the statement concluded.
