A high-level delegation from the Algerian oil company Sonatrach, led by CEO Rachid Hachichi, is set to embark on a working visit to Côte d’Ivoire on Wednesday in preparation for the International Extractive and Energy Resources Fair (SIREXE), according to a statement from the public group.
Scheduled to take place from November 27 to December 2 in Abidjan, this participation follows an invitation from the Ivorian Minister of Mines, Oil, and Energy Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly.
Through this engagement, Sonatrach aims to “explore partnership opportunities in the energy and hydrocarbons sectors with Ivorian companies,” the statement outlines. Furthermore, it notes that the CEO and his delegation will conduct a series of meetings and discussions with Ivorian officials in the energy sector to explore prospects for enhancing bilateral relations.
