Sonatrach: Signing of Two Agreements with Omani Company ‘Abraj’

The Algerian oil company Sonatrach and the Omani company ‘Abraj’ Energy Services have signed two agreements aimed at strengthening cooperation in training within the oil and gas sectors, as stated by the group on Tuesday.

The agreements were signed last Wednesday in Muscat, Oman, by Abdelkader Guenoune, Director of the Algerian Petroleum Institute (IAP), and Souad Abdallah, Director of the Sonatrach Management Academy (SMA) for the Algerian side. Saif Al-Hamhami, CEO of Abraj, represented the Omani side, in the presence of several officials from both parties.

These agreements establish a framework for collaborative efforts to launch specialized training programs designed to enhance the technical and administrative skills of employees while reinforcing the exchange of expertise in training and scientific research, according to the statement.

The agreements are intended to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two parties, aligning with the memorandum of understanding signed on April 24, 2024.

This collaboration underscores both parties’ commitment to a strategic partnership focused on skill development and the enhancement of bilateral relations in pursuit of their mutual interests, the statement concludes.
