Sonatrach Explores Hydrocarbon Cooperation with South African Companies

Rachid Hachichi, CEO of Algerian oil company Sonatrach, met on Thursday with Ndumiso Ndima Ntshinga, the South African Ambassador to Algeria, to discuss potential collaboration with South African companies in the hydrocarbon sector, as reported by the public group.

During this meeting, held at the headquarters of Sonatrach’s general management, both parties explored “the cooperation opportunities available across various segments of the hydrocarbon value chain,” as well as the establishment of strategic partnerships between Sonatrach and South African enterprises.

In this context, Hachichi expressed his willingness to create a platform for consultation and dialogue between the two parties to identify and pursue potential cooperation opportunities, according to the source.

The ambassador, for his part, conveyed his desire to “translate the privileged relationship between Algeria and South Africa into tangible and mutually beneficial partnership projects.”

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties underscored the importance of deepening cooperation among economic actors from both countries in the hydrocarbon sector, reaffirming their commitment to continue coordinating efforts and fostering the development of partnerships and collaboration, the statement concluded.
