ALGIERS, February 18, 2025 – Rachid Hachichi, the CEO of Sonatrach, hosted a delegation from the Spanish company “Técnicas Reunidas,” led by Executive Director Juan Llado Arburua, on Monday in Algiers. The discussion focused on the ongoing projects being undertaken by the Spanish firm, as noted in a company release.
The meeting was held at Sonatrach’s headquarters and included senior management officials from the organization. It provided a platform to review the current initiatives of Técnicas Reunidas, particularly the new refinery project in Hassi Messaoud and the polypropylene production project in Turkey, according to the same source.
During the discussions, Hachichi underscored “the importance of adhering to established timelines for project execution.” He assured that Sonatrach “will provide the necessary support to ensure these projects are completed as per the agreed schedule, especially concerning the Hassi Messaoud refinery project, which holds significant economic and strategic value. This project will enhance national gasoline and diesel production and create new export opportunities,” the company statement added.
Sonatrach further highlighted that “Técnicas Reunidas is a leading company in constructing industrial structures according to engineering, procurement, and construction standards, offering integrated services in this domain worldwide.”
