Somali authorities announced on Tuesday that operations conducted by Somali forces against the terrorist group Al-Shabaab have resulted in the neutralization of 95 of its members.
In a statement, the Somali Ministry of Defense indicated that these operations targeted the terrorist organization in the Central Shebelle, Galgudud, and Mudug regions.
The statement specified that “95 members of the terrorist organization were neutralized during the security forces’ operations, and seven villages were liberated. Specifically, 45 Al-Shabaab members were neutralized in the Middle Shebelle region, while 50 were neutralized in other areas.”
According to the same source, over 250 members of the organization have been neutralized during operations conducted this month.
