Smart Ports Promote China’s Foreign Trade

As the world biggest trader of goods, China has resorted to constructing smart, green ports, with zero-carbon terminals, namely, Tianjin and Ningbo-Zhoushan. The process required developing automated container cranes, smart logistics, and driverless transport vehicles, using technologies such as 5G, AI, autonomous driving, and cloud computing.
According to the General Administration of Customs, China’s foreign trade volume of goods has expanded to 2.97 trillion U.S. dollars in the January-June period.
Such climate-friendly progress encourages global cooperation, and thus lead to economic recovery from the stagnation caused by Covid 19.
