Signing of a MoU Between Algeria’s DGSN and Korean KOICA

A memorandum of understanding was signed on Wednesday in Algiers between the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). This agreement aims to enhance police cooperation between the two countries, as stated in a release from the DGSN.
The signing ceremony was co-chaired by Ali Badaoui, the Director General of National Security, and the Director General of KOICA, with the presence of You Ki-Jun, the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Algiers, along with senior officials from the National Security Directorate.
This memorandum will facilitate the “utilization of Korean expertise in scientific and technical policing to strengthen the operational capabilities of specialized national security services in forensic science. It aims to address current security challenges and enhance criminal justice systems in response to the increasingly complex nature of crime,” the statement concluded.
