Several Investment Agreements, Trade Contracts Expected at IATF 2025

Several investment and trade contracts covering various sectors between Algeria and other countries are set to be signed at the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), scheduled for September 4-10 in Algiers, the director general of the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion, Omar Rekkache, has announced.

Rekkache told APS that investment, trade and partnership agreements would be concluded between Algerian private operators and those of many foreign countries.

Up to “175 partnership intentions are under negotiations between the two sides,” and “are likely to result in contracts during the event, which will also be an opportunity to consider funding intentions for foreign projects in Algeria.”

The director general of the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion said the IATF 2025 would be an opportunity to foster partnerships, particularly among Africans, as part of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), through different commercial contracts that would have a direct and significant impact on attracting investment to Algeria.

The IATF 2025, being one of the most significant events in Africa, will be a “resounding success” due to its uniqueness compared to previous editions, considering the scale of international participation and Algeria’s status as host country, he added.
