Several Injured in Fuel Station Explosion in Eastern Rome

Several people were injured, including three with severe burns, following an explosion at a fuel station in eastern Rome on Friday, according to media reports.

The powerful blast occurred at a station on Via dei Gordiani, which supplies gasoline, diesel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The explosion was heard across various parts of the Italian capital.

Local news outlet Roma Today published an image showing a massive cloud of smoke and flames rising above the fuel station.

Rome’s public transport authority announced the closure of the nearby Teano metro station following police instructions as a safety precaution.
