Sergey Lavrov, Cuban FM Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla to Hold Talks in Moscow

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is set to hold talks with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, who is leading a delegation currently visiting Moscow, Russia’s Foreign Ministry announced.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the meeting between the two top diplomats would take place shortly, focusing on bilateral relations and cooperation between Russia and Cuba, as well as regional and international developments.
The talks come amid growing tensions following a decree signed on Jan. 29 by Donald Trump, authorizing the imposition of duties on imports from countries supplying oil to Cuba. Trump also declared a state of emergency, citing what he described as a threat posed by Cuba to the national security of the United States.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin said Russia remains in contact with Cuba and is discussing options to assist the country in addressing its fuel crisis, underscoring ongoing cooperation between the two nations.
