Saudi Arabia Strongly Condemned Some Parties’ Role in Supplying Weapons and Mercenaries to Sudan

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned a series of what it described as “criminal attacks” carried out by Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), targeting civilians, humanitarian facilities, and aid operations. In a statement, the ministry denounced assaults on Al-Kuweik Military Hospital, a humanitarian aid convoy affiliated with the World Food Program, and a vehicle transporting displaced civilians.

The ministry said the attacks resulted in the killing of dozens of civilians and caused significant damage to humanitarian facilities and aid convoys in Sudan’s North and South Kordofan states. It stressed that such actions are unjustifiable under any circumstances and constitute flagrant violations of humanitarian norms and relevant international agreements.

Reiterating its firm support for Sudan’s unity, security, and stability, Saudi Arabia called on the RSF to immediately halt these violations and ensure the safe and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance. The Kingdom also reaffirmed its rejection of foreign interference and condemned the continued supply of illicit weapons, mercenaries, and foreign fighters to Sudan, warning that such actions are a primary factor in prolonging the conflict and worsening the suffering of the Sudanese people.
