Russian Forces Capture Strategic Village of Kruglyakovka Near Kupyansk

Russian troops have successfully taken control of the village of Kruglyakovka in the Kharkov region, as confirmed by the Ministry of Defense (MoD). The report stated, “Units of the Zapad Battlegroup have liberated the settlement of Kruglyakovka,” marking a significant strategic gain in the ongoing conflict.
Located approximately 20 kilometers south of Kupyansk, Kruglyakovka is positioned on the eastern bank of the Oskol River, near a critical road bridge and a railway line connecting Kupyansk with cities in the northern Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), which is under Ukrainian control. The capture of this village enhances Russian forces’ operational capabilities in the area.
In addition to the village’s liberation, the Zapad battlegroup conducted successful strikes against formations of four Ukrainian brigades in various locations, including Petropavlovka and Berestove in the Kharkov region and Nadiya in the Lugansk People’s Republic. The Russian forces repelled five counterattacks during these operations. Over the past day, enemy losses in the area of responsibility for the Zapad battlegroup included approximately 410 soldiers killed and wounded, alongside significant equipment losses comprising two infantry fighting vehicles, a Kozak armored car, six pickup trucks, a D-20 howitzer, a U.S. M119 howitzer, a Verba multiple rocket launcher system, an Enclave-N electronic warfare station, and five field ammunition depots.
