Russian Embassy Accuses UK of Escalating NATO Confrontation with Moscow

The Russian Embassy in London has accused the United Kingdom of pushing a confrontational agenda during the NATO summit held in The Hague, claiming that Britain is driving efforts to escalate tensions with Moscow.

In a statement, the embassy said the UK had assumed a leading role in promoting confrontation with Russia at the summit. It further stated that what it described as “anti-Russian hysteria” contradicts Britain’s publicly declared national security goals.

The embassy warned that the expansion of NATO’s military infrastructure toward Russia’s borders, along with the rearmament of member states, risks eroding past peace gains and could push the European continent toward its most dangerous period since World War II.
