Russia-US Talks on Ukraine to Continue with UN and Other Countries Involved

Negotiations between Russia and the United States on resolving the Ukraine conflict will continue and expand to include the United Nations and other countries, Russian Senator Grigory Karasin confirmed on Tuesday. Karasin, who participated in the talks, emphasized that the dialogue was constructive and that both sides recognized the necessity of continued engagement.
The discussions, which lasted over 12 hours in Riyadh, resulted in a joint statement, with the Kremlin and the White House set to release it on March 25. While no details on the outcome were disclosed, the negotiations included key Russian and American officials, such as FSB Advisor Sergey Beseda and US National Security Council representatives. The agenda also covered reviving the Black Sea grain initiative, following a phone conversation between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, a separate meeting between US and Ukrainian officials took place on March 23 in Riyadh. The Ukrainian delegation, including Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, discussed a 30-day ceasefire for energy infrastructure and safe shipping in the Black Sea. Further talks between the US and Ukraine are expected after the conclusion of the Russia-US discussions.
