Russia Says 100 Ukrainian Drones Shot Down Overnight Across Multiple Regions

Russia’s air defense systems destroyed 100 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight across several regions, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. The large-scale drone offensive led to fires and property damage in multiple areas, though no casualties were recorded.
In Crimea’s Simferopol, a fire broke out after a drone struck a container holding fuel and oil products, regional head Sergey Aksyonov confirmed. Meanwhile, nine residential buildings and an industrial facility were damaged in the Bryansk Region, according to Governor Alexander Bogomaz, who said emergency services were actively working on the scene and that there was no threat to local residents.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 46 drones were shot down over the Bryansk Region, 12 over Kaluga, eight over Belgorod, seven over Krasnodar, six over the Moscow Region—including four flying toward the capital—six over Oryol, four over Ulyanovsk, and three each over Crimea and the Mari El Region. Additional drones were intercepted in the Stavropol, Kursk, Smolensk, and Tula regions. Regional officials said all essential services continue to operate normally as response efforts remain underway.
