Russia Approves Ban on Child-Free Ideology Propaganda

Russia’s Federation Council has given the green light to legislation prohibiting the promotion of child-free ideology, with fines of up to 5 million rubles (approximately $50,000) for offenders. The laws, passed earlier this month by the State Duma, are part of the government’s push to uphold traditional family values.
Additionally, the measures include a ban on the adoption of Russian children by citizens of countries that allow legal gender changes. The legislation now awaits President Vladimir Putin’s signature to become law.
