Russia and US Intelligence Chiefs Agree to Regular Contact to Ease Tensions

The heads of Russian and US intelligence agencies have agreed to maintain regular communication to help reduce tensions between Moscow and Washington. The decision was made during a phone call on Tuesday, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.
Director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergey Naryshkin and CIA Director John Ratcliffe discussed cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including crisis management. The SVR press service confirmed that both sides aim to promote international stability and security through continued dialogue.
This call follows a series of Russia-US contacts at various levels earlier this month, signaling ongoing efforts to manage diplomatic and security challenges between the two nations.
