Laïd Rebiga, Algerian Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, represented President Abdelmadjid Tebboune at the bicentennial celebrations of Bolivia’s independence on Wednesday, as noted in a ministry communiqué.

According to the source, “Bolivian President Luis Arce presided over the ceremonial events held in the city of Sucre, which were attended by representatives from several countries.”

During this occasion, Rebiga met with President Arce and conveyed the fraternal greetings of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, along with his best wishes for the independence celebration.

This meeting provided an opportunity to “reflect on the historical values shared by the two friendly nations, Algeria and Bolivia, which serve as the foundation for developing and strengthening relations between the two countries,” the communiqué states.

The discussions also focused on “the steadfast positions of both nations in support of just causes” globally, particularly concerning the Palestinian cause and the Sahrawi issue, recognized as the last colony in Africa.

On the sidelines of the celebration, the Algerian minister expressed the good wishes of Algeria’s leaders and people to Bolivian Vice President David Choquehuanca and Bolivian Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa, the statement concludes.
