Rafah Crossing Reopens to Allow Patients and Stranded Palestinians to Travel

The Rafah border crossing in southern Gaza reopened on Monday to facilitate the departure of patients and humanitarian cases, as well as the return of Palestinians stranded on the Egyptian side.
According to WAFA, the sixth batch of patients and humanitarian cases left through the crossing after being prepared by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, with oversight from World Health Organization representatives, to receive treatment in hospitals outside Gaza.
Since its reopening last week, the Rafah crossing has allowed more than 189 patients and their companions to depart, while over 88 Palestinians stranded in Egypt have returned home.
