Qatar’s Emir : ‘Israel’ Seeks to Empty Gaza and Extend Its Influence in the Region

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, addressed the Arab-Islamic Emergency Summit in Doha on Monday, convened after the Zionist strike on the Qatari capital. In his speech, he accused the Zionist entity of pursuing a policy aimed at making Gaza uninhabitable as a prelude to displacing its population, stressing that such actions reflect a systematic attempt to erase the Palestinian presence.
The Emir revealed that during the attack, Hamas leadership had been examining an American proposal relayed through Qatar and Egypt. “If Israel wants to assassinate Hamas political leadership, why negotiate with them?” he asked. He further argued that the Zionist entity’s rejection of the Arab Peace Initiative has led the region into repeated tragedies, while its current extremist government continues to embrace a racist and terror-driven policy. He added that the so-called government of extremist settlers wants to normalize the deployment of aircraft to the region, as part of its dream to turn the Arab world into its sphere of influence.
Sheikh Tamim also warned that the zionist entity is working to divide Syria, but affirmed that “its plans will not succeed.” Concluding his speech, he called for “concrete steps” to confront what he described as the Zionist entity’s “bloodlust,” urging Arab and Islamic states to present a unified front against Zionist aggression. The Emir underlined that the situation demands more than statements of condemnation, insisting on coordinated and effective regional action to protect the Arab world from further destabilization.
