Putin Warns Global Situation Is Deteriorating, Calls for Fair Security Architecture

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the situation in the modern world is increasingly deteriorating, stressing that global stability and security directly depend on the ability of states to interact constructively. He reaffirmed that Russia remains sincerely committed to the ideals of a multipolar world order and will continue to pursue a balanced and constructive political course.
Putin emphasized that no country’s security can be ensured at the expense of others, arguing that security must be comprehensive, equal, and indivisible. He stated that ignoring Russia’s legitimate interests ultimately led to the Ukrainian crisis, warning that attempts to sideline Moscow’s concerns have undermined broader international stability.
Addressing the conflict in Ukraine, Putin said Russia will continue to steadily pursue its objectives until Ukraine shows readiness for a settlement, adding that a peaceful resolution should be achieved as soon as possible. He called for a return to discussions on Russia’s proposals for a fair and inclusive security architecture, which he said could help resolve the crisis, and reiterated Russia’s readiness to restore necessary relations with European countries.
