Putin Hails ‘Unprecedented’ Russia-China Ties on China’s 76th National Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday praised the “unprecedented” strength of ties between Moscow and Beijing in a congratulatory message to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the occasion of China’s 76th National Day.

Putin highlighted that recent meetings in Tianjin and Beijing had reaffirmed the depth of Russian-Chinese relations, describing the discussions as “thorough and constructive.” He commended China’s steady progress in socioeconomic, scientific, and technological development, as well as its growing influence on the international stage and its role in addressing global challenges.

The Russian leader further expressed confidence that the implementation of agreements reached between the two countries would not only deepen their partnership but also open the way for major new joint projects across various sectors. He stressed that this cooperation reflects the “fundamental interests of the friendly peoples of Russia and China” and aligns with building a just and democratic multipolar world order.

Beijing annually marks its National Day on October 1, commemorating the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China in 1949 by Mao Zedong.
