Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that Russia has successfully tested its cutting-edge nuclear-powered underwater vehicle, Poseidon, describing the trial as a “great success.”
Putin emphasized that Poseidon has no equal globally in terms of speed and operational depth, adding that “there is nothing like it in the world, and it is unlikely to appear anytime soon.” He also asserted that interception of the underwater system is “impossible.”
The Russian leader highlighted the system’s unprecedented capabilities, noting that the power of the Poseidon “significantly exceeds” that of the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile, which is expected to be deployed for combat duty soon.
