Putin and Maduro Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro signed a strategic partnership agreement on Wednesday during a ceremony broadcast on Russian state television.
The two leaders discussed energy and oil during their meetings in Moscow, as reported by the Russian news agency Interfax. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov had previously informed reporters that the strategic agreement would serve as a “comprehensive, substantial, and highly significant framework document.”
According to the TASS news agency, the agreement aims for long-term collaboration and encompasses nearly all key topics on the bilateral agenda, as highlighted earlier by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
Putin has emphasized that the strategic partnership and cooperation between Russia and Venezuela will establish a solid foundation for the future expansion of multifaceted ties in the long term.
Maduro arrived in Moscow on May 7, leading a significant delegation, and engaged in discussions with his Russian counterpart.
