
ALGIERS – The 20th International Public Works Exhibition (SITP) kicked off Sunday at the Algiers Exhibition Palace, with the participation of 232 Algerian and foreign companies.
The opening ceremony was chaired by the Algerian Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, Ali Boulerabah, on behalf of the sector’s minister, Lakhdar Rekhroukh, in the presence of ministry executives and chief executive officers of public groups under supervision.
The 20th SITP, organized by the Algerian Ministry of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure in partnership with Algeria Exhibitions (a Safex group subsidiary), features participation from 22 international companies representing China, Turkey, Italy, Poland, Germany, and Portugal.
The four-day exhibition, running daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, also features participation from specialized public works and civil engineering institutes, start-ups, banks and financial institutions.
The exhibition aims to enhance national implementation and study capabilities, boost export potential, develop quality control techniques and tools, while promoting innovation and applied research in public works.
