Proposed Ceasefire Contradicts Lebanon’s Territorial Integrity, Minister

Moustafa Bayram, Lebanon’s Labor Minister, has expressed concerns over certain provisions of a proposed ceasefire, stating that they contradict Lebanon’s territorial integrity. In an interview with IRNA’s international correspondent on Monday, Bayram condemned the recent escalation in Zionist attacks on Lebanon, which he believes are intended to pressure both the Lebanese government and resistance groups into accepting the terms of the ceasefire.

Bayram also highlighted attempts to marginalize the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, and the Shia community from Lebanon’s political landscape. He pointed out that the Zionist media and its allies are promoting the notion that Hezbollah and Shia influence should be removed from Lebanon’s political affairs following the recent conflict. Despite these efforts, Bayram emphasized that Hezbollah and the Islamic resistance are integral parts of Lebanon’s social, political, and cultural fabric.

In a related development, sources in Lebanon reported that the United States has dispatched an envoy to mediate a ceasefire in Lebanon. The truce proposal was presented to Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri last week, who had been endorsed by Hezbollah to negotiate the terms.
