
ALGIERS — The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received on Tuesday an invitation delivered by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Planning and special envoy of the President of the Republic of Iraq, Muhammad Ali Tamim, to attend the upcoming Summit of the Arab League that will be held in Baghdad.
“I had the honor today of meeting His Excellency the President of the Algerian Republic to whom I delivered an invitation letter for the Arab Summit, scheduled for May 17 in Baghdad,” the special envoy told the press after the audience granted to him by President Tebboune.
He added that he conveyed the greetings of the Iraqi President and Prime Minister to President Tebboune, saying “we sincerely hope to see him soon in Baghdad, if Allah wills.”
The audience took place in the presence of the Chief of Staff at the Presidency of the Republic, Boualem Boualem, and the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf.
