
The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, engaged in a bilateral meeting on Wednesday in Rome with his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, during his official visit to this friendly nation.
Upon arrival, President Mattarella extended an official welcome to President Tebboune at the Quirinal Palace, adhering to traditional Italian protocol.
Following the playing of both nations’ national anthems, the two presidents reviewed a detachment of the Italian Republican Guard, which honored them with a formal salute.
President Tebboune arrived in Rome on Tuesday evening, leading a substantial delegation for his official visit to Italy. During this trip, he will preside over the proceedings of the 5th session of the high-level Italy-Algeria Intergovernmental Summit on behalf of Algeria.
This visit is particularly significant for fortifying the historic bonds of friendship and enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors between the two nations.
