ORAN — The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, arrived Thursday in Oran for a historic working visit during which he is to inaugurate the largest seawater desalination plant in Algeria, located at Cap Blanc, Ain El Karma, in fulfillment of the commitment made to citizens in Oran to provide them with drinking water.
With a production capacity of 300,000 m³ per day, the plant can be connected for distribution purposes to six western provinces of the country.
The Algerian Water Company (ADE) is set to begin gradually supplying the population of Oran with drinking water from this plant starting today.
