
The Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune decided to import one million sheep ahead of Eid al-Adha, Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb announced during a government meeting held on Wednesday.
According to a communiqué of the Prime Minister’s Office, Ghrieb informed the government’s members of “the decision of the President of the Republic to support the national livestock market on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, by importing one million sheep.” In this regard, the minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries has been instructed to immediately take the necessary measures to implement the decision of the President of the Republic,” added the source.
