President Tebboune Continues State Visit to Slovenia with Focus on Strategic Cooperation

Ljubljana (Slovenia) – President of the Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, continues his state visit to the Republic of Slovenia today, Wednesday, at the invitation of his Slovenian counterpart, Nataša Pirc Musar.

President Tebboune is scheduled to visit several sites later in the day, including tourist attractions, facilities specialized in horse breeding, and a company operating in the fields of space industries and artificial intelligence.

The previous day of the visit was marked by intensive diplomatic activity. President Tebboune held both private and extended bilateral talks with President Nataša Pirc Musar, as well as a separate meeting with Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob. The meetings concluded with the signing of a joint declaration between Algeria and Slovenia, along with several agreements, memoranda of understanding, and contracts covering strategic sectors.

The President was also received by the President of the National Assembly of Slovenia, Urška Klakočar Zupančič. Together with his Slovenian counterpart, he inaugurated the Algerian-Slovenian Business Forum, where he called on business leaders from both nations to deepen economic and trade relations to reflect the high level of political understanding and cooperation between the two countries.

The second day of the visit also featured a gala dinner and a cultural celebration hosted in honor of President Tebboune and his delegation by the Slovenian President at Brdo Castle Museum.

President Tebboune arrived in Ljubljana on Monday, accompanied by a high-level ministerial delegation. The delegation includes: Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf; Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab; Minister of Industry, Sifi Ghrib; Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Youssef Cherfa; Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Microenterprises, Nourdine Ouadah; and Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries, Houria Meddahi.

Also part of the delegation are the Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, Omar Rekache, several officials from public institutions, and a number of Algerian business leaders.
