The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, commended the female and male workers behind major economic and development projects across the country.
In a message marking the double anniversary of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA) and the nationalization of hydrocarbons, President Tebboune expressed his appreciation for those mobilizing today.
He noted that they carry the same spirit as their predecessors, who rose to the challenge of sustainable production following the nationalization of the nation’s wealth.
“I commend the efforts and mobilization of these workers at this stage, as we seek to enshrine the value of work as a driver of sustainable development and encourage the workforce, especially the youth, to master modern technology further,” the President of the Republic stated.
“The achievements commissioned in recent years, those currently underway, and those scheduled for launch soon are proof of their confidence in Algeria’s trajectory. They mirror economic and social policies whose milestones are evident every day throughout the country,” he said.
The message was read on his behalf by Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb in the province of Oran.
The PM was on a working visit to oversee ceremonies marking the 70th anniversary of the UGTA and the 55th anniversary of the nationalization of hydrocarbons.
