
CHERCHELL (Tipaza) – The Algerian President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, arrived Thursday at “Houari-Boumediene” Military Academy in Cherchell (Tipaza), to chair the graduation ceremony of classes of the year 2025, bearing the name of the late mujahid and general “Hocine Benhadid.”
The Algerian President was welcomed upon his arrival at the Academy by the deputy minister to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (PNA), General Saïd Chanegriha, Lieutenant General to the Commander of Land Forces, Mostefa Smaali., as well as the Commander of the first Military Region, Major General Ali Sidane, and the commander of the Academy, Major General Salmi Bacha.
The Algerian President then reviewed a detachment of the PNA which rendered him honors, before listening to the national anthem.
The President paid his respects to the memory of the late president Houari Boumediene, whose name the Military Academy bears, and laid a wreath of flowers before the commemorative stele, then recited the Fatiha of the Holy Quran in tribute to his soul.
