President Tebboune: Africa’s Future Depends on Collective Capacity to Build Integrated Infrastructure

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune stated on Thursday in Algiers that the future of the African continent depends on the collective ability of its nations to establish integrated infrastructure.
Speaking at the official opening of the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025) at the Abdellatif Rahal International Conference Centre, the President affirmed Algeria’s belief that “Africa’s future lies in the collective capacity of its countries to build integrated infrastructure.”
Tebboune highlighted the importance of creating an investment climate that benefits all, stressing that this goal can only be achieved through “doubling efforts, mobilizing resources, and unifying paths to transform the African Continental Free Trade Area into a true engine of development.”
Addressing African leaders and officials present, Tebboune urged them to make the 4th IATF “a new starting point and a renewed pact to move forward together toward a strong, united, and prosperous Africa.” He called on the continent to produce its own food, invest its wealth for the benefit of its people, and secure its rightful place in today’s and tomorrow’s world. “These may sound emotional,” he said, “but they come from the heart—we are fighting for genuine African development.”
Reiterating that “Africa is not a testing ground for foreign weapons,” Tebboune concluded by stressing the urgent need for development, adding: “Whoever wishes to stop so-called ‘illegal migration’ must help us invest and create jobs for Africa’s youth to correct the current injustices inflicted on the continent.”
