President of Congo receives Algerian Minister of Health

On Tuesday, Algerian Minister of Health Abdelhak Saihi was welcomed in Kinshasa by President Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) during his visit as the Special Envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, according to a communiqué from the ministry issued on Wednesday.
During this meeting, the minister delivered a written message from President Tebboune to his DRC counterpart, which underscored their mutual political commitment to enhancing cooperation between their two nations for their shared interests and strengthening their strategic partnership in the face of regional and international challenges.
The discussions took place in the presence of the Algerian Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo, during which the Minister of Health conveyed “fraternal greetings” from the President of the Republic to President Tshisekedi.
In return, the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo acknowledged Algeria’s “pioneering role on the African scene,” highlighting its dedication to fostering solidarity among African nations and supporting initiatives aimed at development, peace, and the independence of peoples.
In this context, Saihi emphasized “the necessity of reinforcing joint efforts to elevate cooperation between the two brotherly nations, thereby fulfilling their aspirations and enhancing the quality of their relations.”
The Minister of Health arrived in Kinshasa on Tuesday as the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic, the source concluded.
