Port Blast in Iran: Algeria’s Chaib Signs the Condolence Register

The Algerian State Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, signed the condolence register on Wednesday at the Iranian embassy in Algiers, following an explosion at the port of Bandar Abbas, located in southeastern Iran. The incident resulted in numerous fatalities and hundreds of injuries.

“It is with profound sorrow that we learned of the devastating explosion at Shahid Rajaï Port in Bandar Abbas, which has tragically claimed many lives and left countless individuals injured,” Chaib wrote in the condolence register.

“In light of this tragedy that has struck our brotherly Iranian people, I wish to extend, on behalf of the President of the Republic, as well as the Algerian government and its citizens, my heartfelt condolences. I express my deepest compassion and sympathy to our Iranian brothers. May the Almighty bestow His mercy upon the victims, welcome them into His eternal paradise, and grant patience and solace to their loved ones. I also wish a swift recovery to all those injured,” he continued.

He concluded by stating: “During this challenging time, we express our unwavering solidarity and support for the Islamic Republic of Iran, confident that the resilient Iranian people will navigate this painful tragedy with faith, patience, and steadfast determination.”
