Plane Crash in South Sudan : Several Feared Dead

A tragic plane crash has occurred in South Sudan, claiming the lives of several people. The flight was transporting passengers from Unity State to Juba, the capital of South Sudan.

The exact number of casualties has yet to be confirmed, but it is feared that many lives have been lost in the incident.

The plane was carrying staff from the Greater Pioneer Operating Company (GPOC) oilfield, and it crashed shortly after takeoff in Bentiu, Unity State. The aircraft had 22 people aboard—19 passengers are feared dead, with three survivors, one of whom is in critical condition.

The survivors include one Malaysian national and two South Sudanese citizens. Rescue operations and investigations are currently underway.
