Pezeshkian: Iran Cannot Be Easily Sanctioned Due to Its Regional Ties

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stressed that a country like Iran, surrounded by 16 neighboring states, cannot be easily subjected to sanctions, underscoring the strategic importance of managing border relations effectively. Speaking during a ceremony on Monday, Pezeshkian stated, “If we effectively manage our relationships with our neighbors, we can successfully overcome external pressures.”

The president recalled the resilience shown by the Iranian people during the 12-day war imposed on the country, saying that the steadfast support of the nation for the Islamic Republic remains a key source of strength. “In a world where bullies attempt to impose their will on others, it is our reliance on the people that provides us with the strength and capability to resist greed,” he said.

Pezeshkian also highlighted his administration’s efforts to correct national imbalances, particularly within the energy sector. He noted that significant strides have been made in the development of solar power plants and that the fuel reserves for power stations are in far better condition than they were last year.
