Algeria : Parliamentary Delegation Partakes Wednesday in Extraordinary Meeting on Palestine

ALGIERS – A joint Algerian delegation of the Parliament’s two Houses, led by the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly and the president of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU), Brahim Boughali, will participate Wednesday, in Cairo (Egypt), in the 35th extraordinary session of the Executive Committee of AIPU, the Council of the Nation said Tuesday in a statement.

The president of the parliamentary group of the Presidential Third and member of AIPU Executive Committee, Saad Arous, will participate as part of this delegation in this extraordinary session which will be held at the Arab League’s headquarters in Cairo, in Egypt, said the source.

This emergency meeting aims to “examine the latest developments in Palestine, exchange views and agree on the draft related to the urgent point that the UIPA plans to submit during the 149th assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) for a ceasefire in Gaza and in the occupied Palestinian territories,” concluded the communiqué.
