LILLE – Norway beat Tokyo champion France with 29-21 in the women’s handball final, to win Olympic gold at the Pierre Mauroy stadium on Saturday.
Norway has also ended Denmark’s record in women’s handball with gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, and has won medals at every Olympics since.
