Paris : Intense security measures in prepation for Friday Olympics

At a time of wars and bloodshed, France hosts the Olympic games in its capital, Paris from July 26 to August 11, amidst fears of unwanted incidents triggered by the international instability.
The French government deployed 45,000 police and gendarmes, backed up by a 10,000 armed soldiers across the city, so they can reach any Olympic venue within 30 minutes. On top of that, 1,900 police reinforcements were sent from 40 countries.
“Rafale fighter jets, airspace-monitoring AWACS surveillance flights, Reaper surveillance drones, helicopters” will cover the sky of Paris, along with a no-fly zone instructions.
Artificial Intelligence is also harnessed through cameras and other surveillance technology, which raises the concerns of digital rights campaigners over potential privacy violations.
