Palestinian Foreign Ministry Condemns Zionist Entity’s West Bank Land Designation as ‘Annexation Step’

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed that the Zionist entity’s decision to designate lands in the West Bank as state property is null and void, warning that the move represents a first step toward annexation and undermines the foundations of a future Palestinian state.
In a statement issued Sunday, the ministry strongly condemned what it described as attempts by the occupying authority to transfer occupied West Bank lands into so-called state property. It warned that the measure seeks to legitimize what it termed crimes of colonization and annexation, facilitate the seizure and control of Palestinian land, and support the expansion of settlements considered illegal under international law.
The ministry said the decision constitutes a direct challenge to the international legal order and the collective will of the international community, describing it as a violation of principles underpinning international peace and security. It cited relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, particularly Resolution 2334, which reaffirmed the illegitimacy of settlement activity in occupied Palestinian territories, including Al-Quds. The statement also referenced an advisory opinion by the International Court of Justice deeming the Zionist occupation unlawful.
The ministry called on the United Nations, the Security Council, and relevant international legal bodies to firmly oppose the escalating unilateral measures and to take urgent steps to halt annexation and settlement expansion. It warned that such actions threaten the two-state solution, undermine international consensus, and jeopardize regional security and stability.
