The European Union’s diplomatic missions in occupied al-Quds and Ramallah, said that the forcible raid by the Zionist forces on the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), in East occupied al-Quds, which resulted in the seizure of property, the cutting of communications, and the replacement of the UN flag, constitutes a blatant violation of the UN Convention on Privileges and Immunities.

According to a joint statement issued by the EU diplomatic missions in occupied al-Quds and Ramallah, along with Germany, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia, Greece, Cyprus, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, and France, “such actions set a dangerous precedent for completely disregarding international law, including the Geneva Conventions, which grant legal protection to organizations performing vital tasks in accordance with international humanitarian law.”

Adding that the Zionist entity must “fulfil its commitments under the UN Convention on the Privileges and Immunities, which guarantees the inviolability of the UN premises and prohibits their violation.” On Monday, the Zionist occupation forces raided the UNRWA offices located in Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of occupied al-Quds.
