Olusegun Obasanjo Praises President Tebboune’s Role at Opening of IATF 2025 in Algiers

Olusegun Obasanjo, Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), delivered a keynote speech during the opening session of the 4th edition of the fair in Algiers. The former Nigerian president expressed gratitude to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune for his cooperation with the organizers and the African Union Commission in making this year’s edition possible.

Obasanjo commended Tebboune’s leadership and highlighted Algeria’s progress in trade, industrial development, agribusiness, and technology, stressing its role in driving economic transformation across Africa. He underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation in these sectors to build a more resilient and competitive continental market.

Describing the IATF as more than just a trade exhibition, Obasanjo called it a symbol of Africa’s economic renaissance, where nations unite as a force for trade and investment across the continent. He emphasized that the fair represents a crucial step in advancing Africa’s integration and strengthening intra-African partnerships.
