OIC Condemns Zionist Entity’s Plan to Impose Full Military Control Over Gaza

NEW YORK – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has voiced its strong condemnation and categorical rejection of the Zionist entity’s announcement of its intention to impose full military control over the Gaza Strip. Speaking on behalf of the OIC, Deputy Permanent Representative of Türkiye to the UN, Fikriye Asli Güven, described the move as a dangerous and unacceptable escalation, a flagrant violation of international law, and an attempt to entrench illegal occupation by force in defiance of international humanitarian law and relevant UN resolutions.
Güven emphasized that this course of action represents a continuation of the Zionist entity’s grave violations, including killing, starvation, forced displacement, annexation of Palestinian land, and settler terrorism—acts that may amount to crimes against humanity. The OIC demanded an immediate and comprehensive end to the Zionist aggression against Gaza, as well as the cessation of ongoing violations against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Al-Quds. It also called on the Zionist entity to allow the immediate and unconditional entry of large-scale humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and fuel, and to ensure the operational freedom of relief agencies and international humanitarian organizations.
The OIC reiterated its full support for efforts by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States to achieve a ceasefire and reach a prisoner-exchange agreement as a humanitarian gateway to de-escalation and ending the aggression. It urged the swift implementation of the Arab Islamic Reconstruction Plan for Gaza and encouraged participation in the upcoming Cairo reconstruction conference.
The organization also reaffirmed its rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from Gaza or the West Bank, stressed the need to preserve the legal and historical status quo of Al-Quds’s holy sites, and recognized the Hashemite custodianship role. Holding the Zionist entity fully responsible for the ongoing genocide and humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, the OIC called on the international community—especially UN Security Council permanent members—to take urgent action to halt the Zionist entity’s illegal policies and ensure accountability for violations of international law, including those amounting to genocide.
Palestinian Ambassador Riyad Mansour announced that the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution will resume on September 22 in New York.
