Obasanjo Hails Algeria’s Role in Surpassing Expectations at IATF 2025

Former Nigerian President and IATF’s Advisory Council Chairman, Olusegun Obasanjo, praised the outstanding success of the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair on Wednesday in Algiers, saying it had “exceeded all expectations.”
Speaking at the IATF closing ceremony, Obasanjo highlighted the determination of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to make this edition successful. “I can now say that we have not only achieved this goal, but we have surpassed all expectations, showing Africa’s strength when we work together toward a shared objective,” he said, promising that this momentum will continue “for Africa’s development and to strengthen its global position.”
The event’s entire program, from exhibition spaces to panels and conferences, “surpassed all organizers’ expectations,” he noted, thanking President Tebboune and the Algerian government for their dedicated efforts to ensure this edition’s success.
“We are extremely pleased with this edition, which concludes after a week of vibrant exchanges and partnerships built on a shared vision of a prosperous Africa marked by peace and security,” he said, crediting the “exceptional and meticulous” organization for contributing to the edition’s success.
He also commended the hospitality and collaborative spirit that marked every stage of the event’s preparation and organization.
