Nigeria: Nigerian Air Force eliminates over 70 terrorists in 24 hours

ABUJA – The Nigerian Air Force carried out an operation in the northeastern part of the country, eliminating more than 70 terrorists in 24 hours, announced General Edward Buba, Director of Media Operations at the Nigerian Ministry of Defence, during a press briefing in Abuja on Sunday.

“The airstrikes targeted terrorist positions on the Kwallaram and Arianna Ciki islands in Borno State,” said the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), quoting General Buba.

“The efforts made by the Nigerian armed forces to eliminate terrorists are yielding results,” noted the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence.

“Recently, terrorist groups have been suffering from a severe shortage of personnel and are trying to recruit new members by intensifying their propaganda on social media,” he added.
